Rowlett Chamber of Commerce recognized Rotary with monthly honor

The Rowlett Chamber of Commerce recognized the Rotary Club of Rowlett as the Organization of the Month for December.
Criteria for this award includes modeling high ethical standards, practicing exemplary customer service, demonstrating a can-
do attitude, upholding chamber goals, supporting Rowlett citizens and businesses, and maintaining chamber membership.
The Rotary Club is a service organization and is involved in a number of projects and charities in the Rowlett area. The
group projects include Adopt a Rowlett Angel Tree, Rowlett Needy Children's Fund, Rowlett Teacher of the Year, Community
Blood Drive and the Rotary Flag Program.
Not only do they provide for the local charities, Rotary International has taken a primary role in the eradication of the polio
from the planet and are helping ensure clean water in under-developed areas.
The Club donated more than $6,000 to groups in need of assistance.
